About
Igor Isaev
Licensed Ontario driving instructor. Twenty years teaching, and before that, training commercial truck and bus drivers. He lives and teaches in the Georgina area.
The conviction
Igor's view is that most bad driving isn't recklessness - it's missing basics. Drivers who don't observe, who won't wait, who never properly learned the rules. It creates risk for them and for everyone around them. That's why his lessons go past what the road test measures.
“You're ready for the parking. We practise enough. You're ready for the three-point turn. You're ready for changing lane. We practise many times on the intersections.”
“I even hold the steering wheel - I don't let the student turn it at the same time with the head, when the student is checking the blind spot. In the beginning, most of the students have the same kind of problem. In the end, we already know how to check the blind spot in the proper way, how to turn, how to change the lane, and be safe driver on the road.”
